Most residential frameless balustrades use 12mm toughened safety glass. For larger spans, higher loads, or pool enclosures, 17.5mm laminated toughened glass may be recommended. We will specify the correct thickness for your application during the quoting stage.
Glass balustrades are very low maintenance. A regular wipe-down with warm soapy water and a squeegee is all that's needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers. For hard water stains, a diluted white vinegar solution works well.
