Custom Glass Splashbacks for Auckland Kitchens & Bathrooms

A glass splashback is one of the most striking and practical upgrades you can make to a kitchen or bathroom. Unlike tile splashbacks, which have grout lines that collect grease and bacteria, a glass splashback is a single seamless panel that is completely hygienic and effortless to wipe clean.

At Howick Glass, we supply and install custom toughened glass splashbacks in virtually any colour. Using the Resene colour system, we can match your glass splashback to any paint colour in your home, your kitchen cabinetry, your island bench, your feature wall, or any other element you want to complement or contrast.

All our splashbacks are manufactured from 6mm toughened safety glass with the colour applied to the back of the glass (digital print or painted), creating a deep, rich colour that is protected by the glass and will never chip, peel or fade.

Yes. We use the Resene paint system, which covers over 1,500 colours. If you can give us your paint colour code or a sample, we can match it precisely. We can also provide colour swatches in the glass material for approval before manufacture.

Yes — toughened glass is heat-rated and safe for use behind domestic gas and electric stovetops. We use 6mm toughened glass as standard, which meets AS/NZS 2208 safety glass requirements.

Simply wipe with a damp cloth or soft sponge and mild cleaning product. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool. For stubborn grease, a diluted degreaser works well. Glass splashbacks are dramatically easier to keep clean than tile and grout.

Yes, in many cases we can install a clear or coloured glass panel over existing tiles using construction adhesive. This is a cost-effective option if your tiles are structurally sound but you want to refresh the look.
