Traditional timber windows use linseed oil putty, which requires different technique to aluminium joinery. We work with both putty and rubber bead systems, and have extensive experience reglazing heritage villa and bungalow windows in East Auckland. We can also upgrade to slim-profile double-glazed units where the frame rebate depth allows.
Aluminium Window Reglazing
Most aluminium joinery uses rubber gaskets that can perish over time and should be replaced when reglazing. Failed double-glazed units — showing fog or moisture between panes — must be replaced with new IGUs. We manufacture replacement units to the exact specification of your existing windows, with Low-E and tinted options available.
